Drivetrain

Baldos will be driven by a series hybrid drivetrain. An efficient ethanol fueled engine will turn a generator which in turn charges an ultracapacitor. The capacitor will act as an energy buffer for a brushless electrical motor.

The drivetrain team is responsible for the entire propulsion chain, from the ethanol tank, via the combustion engine, generator and ultracapacitor to the electric motor. This also includes control electronics and software.
